Scientists from Nanobiotechnology took part in the 49th Congress of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS)

Scientists from the Scientific Research Institute «Nanobiotechnology» Alexey Vedyaykin and Natalia Morozova took part in the 49th Congress of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), which was held from July 5 to 9 in Istanbul (Turkey).

The presented reports "Comparison of SMC complexes from Ureaplasma parvum and Bacillus subtilis" and "RecN - one of the key proteins of the bacterial SOS response" reflect the results of the projects supported by the Russian Science Foundation (projects 24-74-10022 and 24-74-00085, respectively), and aroused considerable interest among the conference participants.

The conference featured keynote speakers from world leaders in this field of knowledge, such as Barry Halliwell (National University of Singapore, Singapore), Anthony A. Hyman (Max Planck Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology and Genetics, Germany), Robert Harris (Karolinska Institute, Sweden), and others. The latest research results were presented and discussed, including data of considerable interest to SPbPU researchers.

Participation in this congress is important for supporting SPbPU research projects at the global level, as it contributes to the formation of new scientific connections.
